This blog is intended to chart our progress through the self-build process, from half-hearted plot-hunting through to completion of the build. The twist is that we're building the house from timber and straw (hence the blog title).

hi damon and crew, alison hibbert here (you came to see mal & mel cladding our house at foulden). finally got round to checking your blog to find you're moved in so congrats on making it happen! quick question - what wood did you use for cladding and what stain/varnish have you used? we've tried an osmo one but not happy with trial to would be interested to hear/come to see when we're finished lambing. hope to hear from you, well done again, alison
